Scope and Objectives:

  • Approach for developing a shared vocabulary representation methods and specific metrics for the evaluation of the cross-walk mappings
  • Various metrics will be used to assess the depth of interoperability achieved.
  • Gap analysis based on expressivity of concepts that is required in disaster response and management activities and that which is possible using CCO and OGC APIs.
  • Identify elements that are not interoperable and elements that are ambiguous, i.e., could be mapped to multiple elements of the API content model or Common Core ontology

Problem Statement

The DoD/IC has its own way of organizing data, while the OGC provides a set of rules to make it easier for different systems to share and use geospatial data, which is crucial for effective disaster response. The aim is to develop a mapping, making it more "FAIR" – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.
